SALT LYFE // 2021
Salt Lyfe is a series of paintings I made after moving to Virginia from New York right before the pandemic. The imagery reflects the folklore and mythology of my youth. The first in the series, Chic's Beach Crab Bake, shows ladies lounging on a local beach where people would catch crabs in the Chesapeake Bay and during Spring Break.
The work was shown in Yungspace’s virtual gallery in April 2021.
