Behold! Here are some ceramic pieces I made between 2018-2019. I played around with throwing on the wheel (difficult) and hand building (also difficult!) I loved working with clay but discovered through the process that my favorite part was painting and animating the pots…Above is the Fertility Pot. I threw the main form and hand built the side sprouts and foot. I painted the woman figure with underglaze. After the bisque firing, I used wax resist and dipped the pot into a white glaze. Et viola!

During my first foray into ceramics, I made this astrology plate series. I painted each plate with an underglaze and etched the drawing into it. I think the white clay / black glaze came out the best. Unfortunately, and ironically, Gemini broke in half. I still have the broken plate, and mostly using it as incense plate.
